The family of late Herbert Wigwe, the former group chief executive officer (GCEO) of Access Holdings Plc, has announced arrangements for his burial rites, without a mention of City of David in the programme.
Earlier this month, Wigwe was involved in a helicopter crash in the US alongside Chizoba, his wife; and Chizi, his son.
Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), was also aboard the chopper, with all passengers confirmed dead hours later.
In a programme obtained by TheCable, the burial ceremony of the Wigwes will begin with a celebration of the professional legacy of the former GCEO of Access Holdings at the Eko Hotel in Lagos on March 4, and will end with an outing service at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers, on March 10.
The lives of Chizi and Chizoba will be celebrated in separate ceremonies scheduled for March 5 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, before a night of tributes a day later at the same venue.
A combined service of songs will be held on March 7 at the RCCG, Resurrection Parish, Lekki, followed by a Christian wake-keeping at Wigwe University, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers.

Recall that Herbert Wigwe, who died recently in America in a helicopter crash alongside his wife, son, and business partner. was a member of the RCCG, and worshipped with the City of David branch, and is reported to be a very high financial contributor to the church.
Rumours had it that following the death of Wigwe, his family shockingly directed RCCG to never attempt to come near his burial service even though Wigwe had contributed billions of naira to the developments of the church.
The decision of the family was reportedly influenced by a lavish birthday ceremony organized by Pastor Iluyomade for his wife, even a few days after Wigwe’s death.
