Fulham home kit

Fulham have released their new home kit for the 2023-24 season.

The club say heritage is still proudly recognised within the shirt’s design, with the club’s famous “London’s Original Football Club” mark displayed at the neck on the reverse of the jersey.

The shirt is paired with black shorts, with the red and white three stripe piping down the sides, and an all-black sock.

Newcastle United away kit

Newcastle have unveiled a new green away kit for the 2023-24 season.

The club say the shirt features a “tonal stripe design” which will be “worn on the road alongside white or green shorts”.

Liverpool away kit

Liverpool have released their away strip for next season – and it’s a real throwback to the mid-90s.

The classic green-and-white quarter pattern, sported by the likes of Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, will again be on display at grounds across the country in 2023-24.

The club describe the kit as being “updated with a digital effect treatment layering tonal greens – green spark, poison green and pine green – for a modern twist”.

Everton home kit

Everton have unveiled their home kit for the 2023-24 season, with the club saying it “celebrates a much-loved traditional element of Goodison Park”.

For the first time in more than a decade, the Toffees’ home shirt has a collar, which features Goodison’s famous Archibald Leitch pattern on its trim.

Dwight McNeil, who took part in kit photoshoot, said: “I like what Hummel have done with the kit, giving it a retro look and bringing elements of Goodison into it that I think fans will really appreciate.

Manchester United’s new home kit for the 2023-24 season has been revealed, with the club saying it represents the “deep connection between Manchester and its rich industrial heritage”.

United added: “It pays homage to the city’s iconic red rose in a stunning geometric design and draws inspiration from the bridge over the River Irwell, which connects Manchester and Salford and stands as a symbol of the city’s strength and its profound impact on the world during the industrial revolution.”

The club also said the kit is “manufactured with 100% recycled materials, demonstrating Adidas’ commitment to sustainability and their ongoing efforts to combat plastic waste”.

Wolves away kit

Wolves have released their 2023-24 away kit – which is “inspired by the geometric architecture and tile patterns found around the Iberian Peninsula”.

Unveiling the new red strip, the club added: “The new red away strip will provide Wolves’ southern European players with a taste of home as they head on their travels this season.”

Newcastle United home kit

After securing their spot in the top tier of European competition next season, the new strip will be the first to feature the Champions League logo in 20 years.

Tottenham Hotspur home kit

Tottenham Hotspur have revealed their new home kit for the 2023-24 season.

For the first time since the 2012-13 campaign, Spurs return to an all-Lilywhite outfit, including shorts and socks.

On realsing the strip, the club said: “The subtle pattern of overlapping circles and lines seen throughout draws inspiration from the sounds of London N17 and the area’s broadcasting history.”

The kit will be worn for the first time when Tottenham take on West Ham United in Perth on 18 July – the opening match of their Asia-Pacific Tour.

Following the conclusion of the group stage, nine African countries have confirmed their places in round 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

Algeria and DR Congo are the latest teams from the continent to seal their last-32 ticket at the ongoing competition.

They join Morocco, South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Cape Verde, Ghana and Senegal in the business end of the competition, breaking the previous record of just two African teams at a World Cup knockout round.

Tunisia is the only country on the continent to qualify for the World Cup, but failed to progress beyond the group stage.

DR Congo qualified after earning their first-ever World Cup victory, 3-1 over Uzbekistan, in their last group stage match on Saturday in Atlanta. Yoane Wissa’s brace and Fislon Mayele’s strike helped the Leopard turn around a game that started disastrously for them.

The victory takes DR Congo to the top of the eight best third-placed teams, and they will face England next on Wednesday.

Arsenal win EPL title after 22 years

Arsenal are English Premier League (EPL) champions after Manchester City failed to win at Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium to hand Arsenal an unassailable four-point lead with just one match remaining to the end of the season.

The Gunners win the EPL title for the first time in 22 years, since the legendary Invincible side won it in the 2003/04 season.

In the club’s 100th season without relegation from the EPL, the club will celebrate its centenary participation with a league title won on the back of a record 28 EPL wins that surpassed the 26 wins recorded by the Invincibles. The defence prevented opponents from registering a shot on target in six matches, equaling a 23-year league record, and also scored a record 17 goals from corner kicks.

Mikel Arteta’s tough side has led the table for most of the season before a late mini-collapse, and Man City’s late surge in form nearly threatened their title ambition for a second season in a row.

City’s late resurgence, however, was initially stunned by Everton in early May and completely collapsed against Bournemouth.

Guardiola’s side visited the Vitality Stadium aware that any result other than a victory would seal Arsenal’s title. But they lacked the execution for the mission after falling to a wonderful strike from Junior Kroupi in the first half.

City were only kept in the game by Bournemouth’s profligacy in front of goal. When Erling Haaland’s equaliser was squeezed home in the eleventh hour of the game, even the most faithful City supporter knew it was too little, too late.

Arsenal and Arteta secured the league earlier than they would have predicted, giving City a prodigious title run-in.

The league triumph is Arteta’s second major title with the North London club since joining in December 2019, adding to the English FA Cup trophy won within six months of his tenure in May 2020.

The 44-year-old Spaniard wins his fourth title overall and can win his fifth — and third major trophy — with victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final next weekend.
