When Epe stood still for Madam Adedeji’s final journey home




It is naturally a difficult task to say a final good bye to a mother. It is even harder to give an eulogy to a loving and caring mother who gave you life and ensure that you live a meaningful life.

That was the story in the ancient and historical town of Epe, Lagos State, last weekend when the prestigious Ademuyiwa family bid theit final farewell to the matriarch of the family, Princess Victoria Oyinade Adedeji.

The carnival-like ceremony left no one in doubt about the pedigree of the Ademuyiwas who have long been noted for leaving no stone untouched in such matters.

Signs of what to expect began to manifest as early as Wednesday when the town began to witness a never-before seen influx of gaily-dressed crowd.

By Friday, the town was already agog with large traffic of beautiful and gaily dressed men and women heading towards the home of former Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Omoba Ademuyiwa Adedeji, one of the sons of the late Madam Adedeji.

For the real estate giant and politician, it was one last opportunity to give his mother a very befitting farewell honour.

Sure, the burial ceremony of Princess Victoria Oyinade Adedeji may have come and gone, but it’s memory will linger for a long time to come in the minds of the people.


Fondly called Mummy shop by all those whose lives she touched in her memorable lifetime, the nonagenarian, according to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those who had the opportunity to know her, lived a self-less life that was dedicated to putting smiles on the faces of people and making sure that no one went to bed with an empty stomach.

Expectedly, her three-days journey of ceremonies to eternal rest kicked off on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, with pomp and pageantry with a well-organised Service of Songs at her residence in Gbagada, Lagos.

The second leg of her journey commenced on August 26, with a Christian wake service with beautiful and soul-inspiring songs rendered with Anglic voices by the choir of the First St. Anglican Church, Epe,

Saturday, August 27 was the high point of the three-day. Activities began at about 10am when the remains of the deceased arrived the church in a beautifully-decorated white casket driven in a in a white 4Matic Mercedes Benz R350 hearse.

The Post realibly gathered that the casket, which cost a few millions, was made by BCFS, a Lagos-based firm of undertakers.

The funeral service at the First St. Anglican Church, Iraye Oke, Epe, Lagos, commenced with A-list guests, that include Lagos State Assembly lawmaker, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, popularly known as OKLA and Lagos State Child Protection Network General Secretary, Rasheed Awofeso among several others.

Thereafter, the children of the late Madam Ademuyiwa led her remains to her residence in the white 4Matic Mercedes Benz R350 hearse, where it was final laid to rest amid eulogies by children and relations.

With the final honours done to a loving mother by the children, all attention shifted to the large compound of UPE Primary School, along Adedeji Road, Iraye Oke, Epe town, where the guests were hosted to a lavish party.

With the tables filled with assorted shades of champaigne, wines and beer, the guests, who turned out in their colourful aso ebi, were treated to sumptous meals that were washed down with chilled drinks.

On the band stand was popular juju music star, Mega 99, who churned out beautifully composed songs that accompanied the late Princess Ademuyiwa as she made her way to heaven.

I did it: Halima Abubakar speaks on ‘affair’ with Apostle Suleman





Nigerian Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has finally spoken out on her alleged affair with Apostle Johnson Suleman.

Suleman, the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, has been enmeshed in the labyrinth of “sex scandals” in the past years.

In July, the cleric was in the news again after a blog claimed he had affair with a host of Nigerian actresses including Abubakar, Georgina Onuoha, Queen Nwokoye, Shan George, and Vivian Metchie.

Others, according to the blog, include Lilian Bach, Iyabo Ojo, Ruth Kadiri, Mercy Johnson, Chinyere Winifred, Larriet Omo Brish, Ini Edo, Joy Ogbunu, Angela Okorie, and Mary Uranta.

At the time, the report sparked heated reactions on social media, with several of the named actresses dismissing the allegation.

Suleman also debunked the post and described the list as an unrealistic litany of names curated to bring him down.

In a dramatic twist on Sunday, Abubakar took to her Instagram stories to call out Suleman.

The film star claimed she agreed to date him at the time because the cleric told him he had separated from his wife.

“I f*ck up yes. I own my mistakes. But I won’t lie anymore. Nigga said he was separated. I didn’t meet a married man. I met a bizman with three kids. Long story, stay away from liars,” she wrote.

In another post, Abubakar also accused the clergyman of paying blogs monthly to promote lies.

“Every month only you. How do you sleep? You paid off the blogs, only you, God forbid. Look for lies and send it to your bloggers. They need am,” she added.

“But you you you JS. You bought market Sule. Emperor Sule. Allow me rest biko. Don’t fuck with me bro. Dude.”

Abubakar had earlier engaged Shan George in a war of words over the alleged affair involving the cleric.

As of the time of this report, Suleman has not reacted to Abubakar’s claim.

Nkechi mentally sick, smokes Indian hemp to maintain balance – Opeyemi Falegan fights dirty






Opeyemi Falegan, ex-lover of controversial Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has shared disturbing information about his ex-girlfriend, claiming she is mentally imbalanced.

The Ekiti-born politician and Nkechi have been battle of wits following their breakup.

Falegan was recently dragged online in an interview over claims she only used him to spite her ex-boyfriend.

Not one to let go without a response, Falegan took to his Instagram story where he revealed some information about Nkechi, with claims that any man, who had dated her would testify she is dirty and also battling with a mental problem.

He added that Nkechi only smokes weed to remain stable.

He said, “I don’t want any woman to be angry with me but the truth is that Nkechi is dirty, any man who has dated her will tell you what I said is the truth, you will find spots down there, and believe me it does not even look nice. She should go take care of herself, I don’t care who you are and how you take this message because at this point l know your mission.

Falegan further stated, “I know why she is doing all this, I clearly remembered what she told me, she said anytime she goes online to cause violence, people would patronize her more, there was even a time she had a fight with Bobrisky, she told me she made enough sales that day. I don’t know how long she intends to keep fighting online to make sales.

“I’m not asking her to stop, but I don’t want to be part of it. “How will you marry a woman who takes weed to be calm every day , I have my reasons for leaving her and I don’t regret it, she is the last person to come online to start insulting a person because I have a lot of dirty secrets but I choose not to disclose online,” he said.

Controversial Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has once again ignited her year-long beef with politician ex-lover, Opeyemi Falegan.

Speaking during an interview with TVC ‘s ‘Your View’ aired on Thursday, Blessing talked about her immediate past relationship and how it finally ended.

When asked if she still loved Falegan, the actress said she was “100 per cent” over him. According to her, she only got into a relationship with the politician in order to spite a previous lover.

Describing how she got into a relationship with Falegan, she said, “The thing is, he was the one that loved me more. It was the time that I was trying to level up to the love he has for me that he messed up.

“This girl will never stop mentioning my name kilodeee? Once I have a reason to go, I will never find an excuse to come back. U no get content again?

“Attaching my name to yours is dysfunctional, just stop mentioning my name abeg, someone should please give her contents, she sounds really empty now,” he wrote.

Falegan and Nkechi got into a public war of words ealier in the year, as they announced the breakdown of their marriage.

Despite sharing pictures of her purported wedding back in 2021, Blessing stated after their break-up that she was never legally married to Falegan.
