1. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi state says it has ended talks with the All Progressives Congress (APC) over possible defections after the proposed power-sharing formula was not agreed on.
There have been reports that Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, and his supporters in the PDP were considering joining the APC amid the leadership crisis in the opposition party.
2. The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.), has announced that Nigeria and Türkiye have finalised an agreement for the immediate deployment of 200 Nigerian Special Forces personnel to Türkiye for advanced military training.

The father of two victims abducted on Wednesday from a Benue Links bus en route to Otukpo has cried out over ransom demands by their captors, who he said are insisting on N9 million for each of his kidnapped children. The victims were among those seized when armed men intercepted the bus and forced passengers into nearby bush paths.
