Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of  Lagos State has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing for the 2027 general elections.

The governor, who disclosed this in a statement via his X handle on Monday, August 24, after visiting the party’s presidential and governorship campaign offices to assess its level of preparedness ahead of the elections,
expressed confidence that the party is positioned to secure victory across the state.

Sanwo-Olu said the campaign committee had begun strategic planning and was working on its plans for the 2027 polls.

He said the APC presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governorship candidate Dr Obafemi Hamzat and other candidates in Lagos were committed to the party’s campaign efforts.

“The campaign committee is fully in its element, mapping out the road ahead and sharpening our strategy,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He added that “there is serious, structured work happening behind the scenes” as the party prepares for the elections.

According to the governor, the level of commitment among party members had encouraged him, noting that the APC was focused on maintaining its political momentum in Lagos.

“I am encouraged by the energy and sense of purpose,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu said the party was “focused, aligned and ready to win across the board,” adding that the APC would continue its development agenda in the state.

“Together, we will keep building on Lagos’s momentum and pushing our state forward,” the governor said.
