Operatives of the Plateau State Police Command have arrested a suspect believed to be the mastermind of Tuesday’s deadly attack on Bim-Perr community in Kombun District of Mangu Local Government Area, which left 25 people dead and four others injured.

Alfred Alabo, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest to journalists.

Alabo said the arrest marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation, as operatives intensify efforts to identify and apprehend other suspects linked to the attack.

He said the command remains committed to bringing all those responsible for the killings to justice, assuring residents that security agencies are working to prevent further attacks and restore calm to the affected community.
