The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reported a fire incident at the terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Sunday morning.
According to a statement by FAAN on Sunday, there has been no recorded casualties or loss of life.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to inform the public that a fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos,” the statement reads.
“The FAAN Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is currently responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation.
“There have been no reported casualties or loss of life.
“Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
It would be recalled that on February 23, there was a fire outbreak at the terminal one of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Two days after, Farouk Umar, managing director (MD) of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), said the fire incident at the terminal completely affected its air-to-ground communication.
