1. Many of the terrorists dislodged from Zamfara and Sokoto states have been relocating to the South-East and South-South regions, security and intelligence sources have revealed to Saturday PUNCH.
The insurgents, according to the sources, are utilising interconnected forest corridors and riverine routes stretching through Niger, Kogi, and Anambra states to escape military pressure in the North.

3. Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has revealed that the 46 pupils and teachers abducted by suspected bandits on May 15 are still within the Old Oyo National Park corridor. Makinde disclosed this while giving an update on the rescue efforts in his Newsletter No. 140, released on Friday.

Borno State Government has reintegrated 720 repentant Boko Haram members, alongside 992 women and 2,050 children, into their communities after completing a rehabilitation and deradicalisation programme. Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to Governor Babagana Zulum on Security, Brigadier General Abdullahi Ishaq, said the graduates had willingly surrendered to the military.

Senator Seriake Dickson has met with the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Mr. Peter Obi, following recent controversies sparked by comments he made regarding attacks from some of Obi’s supporters. Dickson disclosed the meeting in a statement on Thursday, saying Obi visited him alongside other leaders of the party for a closed-door meeting that lasted about three hours.
8. Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested five suspected kidnappers in Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State. In a statement on its official Facebook page on Friday, the Nigerian Army said the suspects were members of a kidnapping syndicate responsible for terrorising innocent civilians in the area.

10. Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State says more personnel of the Nigerian Army will be deployed in the state soon to beef up the fight against insecurity. Soludo made the disclosure in Awka on Friday during the third anniversary celebration of the Eighth Anambra House of Assembly.
