Atiba University Oyo has formally entered into a strategic Agreement of Collaboration with Nasarawa State University Keffi, marking a significant milestone in advancing academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional development in Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The signing ceremony, held at the Conference Room of the Vice Chancellor, Nassarawa State University Keffi, during the week long Silver Jubilee Celebration and the 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony of the Nassarawa State University Keffi, brought together principal officers, senior academics, and stakeholders from both institutions in a shared commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at strengthening teaching, research, and community service.
Established in 2017 by Atiba University Educational Foundation ably led by James Adesokan OJEBODE, PhD, JP, ALA (CSN, the University is committed to providing education rooted in knowledge, character, and self-reliance; while Nasarawa State University, Keffi—founded in 2001 by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator (Dr) Abdullahi Adamu, Turakin Keffi, Former Executive Governor of Nassarawa State — is a leading public institution dedicated to expanding access to higher education and promoting academic advancement in Nigeria.
The Agreement of Collaboration is designed to promote:
Joint academic and research programmes
Staff and student exchange initiatives,
Development of postgraduate and professional programmes,

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of Atiba University Oyo, Professor Sunday Olawale OKENIYI, highlighted the importance of inter-university collaboration in addressing contemporary educational challenges and enhancing global competitiveness. In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to strategic partnerships, describing the agreement as a vital step toward strengthening academic development and expanding opportunities for both students and faculty members. Both leaders emphasized that the collaboration would facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas, promote interdisciplinary research, and contribute meaningfully to national and global development.
