President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers to his cabinet.
The new appointments were announced in a statement issued by the presidency after the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu was appointed as minister of state foreign affairs while Jumoke Oduwole was assigned to the ministry of industry, trade and investment.
Nentawe Yilwatda was appointed to replace the suspended Betta Edu as the minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction while Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi was named the new minister of labour & employment.
Idi Mukhtar Maiha was appointed as the minister of livestock development while Yusuf Abdullahi Ata is the minister of state, housing and urban development.
The president also approved the appointment of Suwaiba Said Ahmad as the minister of state, education.
Meanwhile, Shehu Dikko was appointed as the chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC) which will now take over the duties of the now-scrapped ministry of sports development.
Sunday Dare, the minister of sports in the Muhammadu Buhari administration, was appointed as the special adviser to the president on public communication and orientation.
Dare will operate from the ministry of information and national orientation.
