Kano state governor, Abba Yusuf, has met with Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser (NSA), amid the emirship tussle.
The Kano governor visited Ribadu in his office in Abuja on Thursday.
In a post on his X account, the Kano governor shared a picture of himself and the NSA.
“I had a fruitful engagement with the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, this afternoon in Abuja,” the Kano governor wrote.
The visit is coming days after Aminu Gwarzo, deputy governor of Kano, accused Ribadu of allegedly facilitating the return of Ado Bayero, the dethroned Emir of Kano, to the palace by providing him with two private jets.
Ribadu denied the allegation while threatening to sue Gwarzo.
Afterwards, the deputy governor apologised to the NSA and retracted his earlier comments.
On May 23, Yusuf reinstated Muhammadu Sanusi as the Emir of Kano after he signed the bill that repealed the Emirate Council Law of 2019.
