PHOTOS: Akinterinwa, other dignitaries receive Akeredolu’s remains
Adewale Akinterinwa, the frontline governorship aspirant in the 2024 governorship election in Ondo State, on Wednesday, led thousands of his supporters to receive the remains of the late Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in Akure, Ondo State Capital.
Akinterinwa, who dorned a T-shirt emblazoned with a photograph of Akeredolu, was joined by several other members of the Akeredolu administartion to give their former boss their last respect.
Speaking, Akinterinwa described Akeredolu, as a courageous fighter and a comrade.
“Arakunrin was a comrade and a courageous fighter who placed the welfare of the people of the state far above his own. He was also a workaholic. With him, there was no closing hours. His approach to governance was very cerebral,” Akinterinwa added.
