Police rescue abducted student in Lagos, arrest two suspects

The operatives of the Ikotun Police Division in Lagos have rescued one female secondary school student (names withheld) from suspected kidnappers.

The two suspected kidnappers – Adamaka Chinyere and Bolajoko Haruna were arrested with their tinted Toyota Camry car which has been impounded.

 

The spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed their arrest.

 

The suspects were said to have tricked the abducted student into their car, but with the timely intervention of the police, they rescued her.

 

Hundeyin on his verified “X” page said: “Let’s teach our children not to follow strangers. Ikotun Police Division received information from community members about the presence of strange people moving around their neighbourhood suspiciously.

 

“The police moved in discreetly, quickly enough to rescue a female secondary school student they had tricked into their car and abducted.

“The suspects, Adamaka Chinyere and Bolajoko Haruna, have been arrested and their tinted Toyota Camry impounded. They are to be arraigned at the conclusion of the investigation. Meanwhile, the student has been reunited with her family.”
