A Nigerian physiotherapist and PhD student, Chukwudi Ogbueche-Ifediora, has died in the United Kingdom.
Chukwudi’s death was announced following reports of another Nigerian Saheed Wahab, also passed away a day after his arrival in the United Kingdom for his master’s degree.
Wahab’s death occurred on Tuesday, January 16, precisely one day after he arrived at Teesside University, United Kingdom, to commence his master’s programme.
Wahab’s demise was officially acknowledged in a statement published by the Nigerians in the UK Community on their X handle.
Following the sad news we received regarding the death of Mr Saheed Wahab, a student at Teesside University who died a day after arriving in the United Kingdom from Nigeria.
He was here to start a MSc qualification, but unfortunately he died on Tuesday (16th January) afternoon…
Reacting to the news, a social media user, Ibironke Khadeejah Qaudri wrote, “So we have 3 bodies of Promising young Nigerians in the UK waiting to be buried. All arrived less than 2 years ago. I lost it on Monday when I got called to the hospital for another in Hdu, I saw Him yesterday. Nigeria must work.
“If you’ve been here longer please support the new ones, assist them with the transition, it’s not easy. To the new Japa, don’t joke with your health. Monitor your Blood pressures,” she added.
Another user @DedeUmuahia, disclosed that his brother, Chukwudi is among the three who recently died in United Kingdom.
“Sad to say my brother is on this list @IfedioraChuddy’s body is yet to be conveyed back to his home country. Like my dad said “if the country is good, tell me why we would have to go fend in another man’s land??,” Dede wrote.
