Nigerian governors visit Tinubu in Lagos

Members of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) have visited President Bola Tinubu in Lagos.

 

 

On Thursday evening, Tinubu arrived in Lagos from Abuja via presidential jet at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

 

 

The president was welcomed by a waiting crowd of supporters and was received by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos.

 

 

On Tuesday, the governors were seen in a video led by their chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq boarding a bus to the president’s residence.

 

They converged on Lagos House at Marina from where they headed to the president’s residence.

 

 

Vice-President Kashim Shettima and Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to the president, were also present during the visit.

 

 

Among those who visited the president were Hope Uzodinma of Imo; Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Godwin Obaseki of Edo; Abba Yusuf of Kano; Hyacinth Alia of Benue; Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Umar Dikko Radda of Katsina.

 

Others are Lucky Aiyedatiwa, acting governor of Ondo; Ahmed Usman Ododo, governor-elect of Kogi; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun; Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto; Uba Sani of Kaduna; Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Francis Nwifiuru of Ebonyi; Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers.
