ONDOCIMMA hails Buhari over approval of Ondo Deep Sea Port

The Ondo State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONDOCIMMA), has hailed President Muhammad Buhari for approving the Ondo State Deep Sea Port.
The chamber’s president, Otunba Olumide Araoyinbo, said the approval of the port will open new doors of opportunities for Ondo State and all the neighbouring states.
Araoyinbo, who spoke in a statement by the chamber’s public relations officer, Adeboro Onibalusi, congratulated the people of the state and thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his untiring efforts to ensure that the port is approved.
“It gladdens our collective hearts that the Port Ondo project finally got the approval of the federal government. It is indeed the most beautiful parting gift from President Muhammadu Buhari to the people of the state.”
Araoyinbo said the project, on completion would serve as a major catalyst for the socio-economic development of the state and the country at large.
He stated further, “We want to express our gratitude to the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Jaji Sambo for his support towards the actualization of this dream. Furthermore, the chamber expresses its deepest appreciation to the Minister of state for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye and all those who worked tirelessly to ensure that the sea port project is approved.”
The chamber urged the state government and all the stakeholders in the project to see ONDOCIMMA and its members as partners in the project and to ensure that it immediately put machinery in motion to make Ondo Port a reality as fast as possible.
“Again, as partners in progress with Ondo State government, we want to urge the governor and all those responsible for the take-off of the project not to be hesistant in actualizing the license and ensure that the project takes of in earnest.
“It is also pertinent to point out to government that any form of underhand dealing should be discouraged, and that transparency should be the key word to ensure a greater good for the greater number of people of Ondo State.”
