10 months after massacre, Owo Church holds first mass (PHOTOS)

Ten months after gunmen massacred scores of worshippers at the Francis Catholic Church located in Owo, Ondo State, the Church on Sunday, April 9, reopened for religious activities.

The governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, had visited the scene to commiserate with the church and the entire town.

Relief materials and funds were donated to victims and families of those who lost their loved ones.

In March 2023, Akeredolu disclosed that the construction of a memorial park in honour of the victims of the attack has begun.

The governor of the state is an indigene of the town.
