The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the presidential election in Lagos in a faulty start as many officials of the commission were yet to arrive their duty posts as at past nine in the morning.

The election was supposed to start by 8:30am, but as at that time, no INEC official was in sight.

In Abule Egba, Agege and Ikeja and the situation was the same. As at past nine, most electoral officers were yet to be seen.

Many voters were seen in some places awaiting INEC officials to kick-start the electoral process. In many places, nothing has been set up yet, display of accredited voters lists are nowhere to be found.

Hundreds of journalists are seen at Polling Unit 085, Ward F, where the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is supposed to cast his vote.

As at past nine in the morning, no INEC official was seen in Tinubu’s polling unit. The electoral officers were later seen driving in around 9:26am.
