President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to lead other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Lagos for today’s grand finale of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

The state government yesterday issued a travel advisory to ease traffic on the route leading to the stadium in Surulere from the local wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja.

Today’s rally will draw the curtain on a nationwide campaign that took the APC standard bearer to the capitals of all the states.

The president returned to Abuja yesterday after participating in the 36th Summit of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

Buhari, who left the country last Thursday, participated in a couple of events during the three-day trip, including high-level meetings on peace and security, climate change and the political situation in some West African countries.

Besides the AU Summit, themed: “Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Implementation”, the President also took part in an Extraordinary Summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which held on the sidelines of the main event.

On the sidelines of the Summit, he also took part in the second Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Sahel Region Climate Commission (SRCC), where Nigeria was picked to host the Secretariat of the Sahel Climate Fund.
