Father, mother, 3 kids die in Lagos-Badagry expressway road accident

A yet-to-be-identified family of five, including the father, mother, and three children have  died after their Toyota Sienna car crashed into a stationary Volvo truck  along the Lagos-Badagry expressway on Sunday night.

The accident, according to reports, occurred on Sunday night around Agemowo, Buhari Estate.

Sulaiman Taiwo, the Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Badagry, confirmed on Monday.

The FRSC Commander said  the Toyota Sienna, with registration number JJJ 947 HM, was coming from Agbara when it rammed into the stationary Volvo truck, with registration number T-8101 LA.

He said the driver of the Sienna car rammed into the stationary truck as a result of poor visibility.

“We were alerted to the accident at about 8:45 p.m. and we arrived on the scene at 9:00 p.m. The accident was fatal. Father, mother and their sons were rushed to the General Hospital in Badagry, where they were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” he said.
