Following the reported death of one of its students, 12-year-old Whitney Adeyemi, the Lagos State Government has ordered the temporary closure of Chrisland School, Opebi-Ikeja.
A release signed by the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo said the closure was ordered pending the outcome of a full investigation into the unfortunate incident.
Adefisayo, on behalf of the State Ministry of Education, commiserated with Mr. and Mrs. Adeyemi, parents of Whitney, and prayed for the repose of her soul.

Whitney was said to have slumped and died during the school’s inter-house sports at the Agege Stadium last Thursday.
Parents of the girl has cried out and demanded justice.
According to Adeyemi, she handed over to the school a vibrant healthy child, only for the school to return her dead to him.
