Breaking: Protests rock Ondo over Naira, Fuel scarcity

Despite the several warning notices issued by the police against what it termed illegal gathering, several youths and residents of Ondo State, on Tuesday hit the streets in peaceful protests along the Ore-Benin expressway to register their displeasure over the debilitating scarcity of naira notes and fuel in the country.

The protest, which caused gridlock on the expressway, left thousands of travellers plying the route stranded.

One of the protesters, who spoke, Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, said the recent hardship ravaging the country is quite alarming.

“We are protesting to send a message to the government, that we the masses are suffering.
