Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has promised the people of Cross River that he would change the state to wonderland of tourism if he is elected President.

He made the promise, on Tuesday, during the APC presidential campaign rally at the U.J. Essuene Stadium in Calabar.

He also promised to create jobs for the teaming youths.

“Money will come in, you will enjoy my government. This state will become a wonderland of tourism. We will create jobs.”

Tinubu, who accused the Peoples Democratic Party of not providing electricity for 16 years while in power, said his government would make Nigeria a better country by turning things around for the benefit of all citizens.

He said: “Today, they have changed the exchange rate from N200 to N800, don’t mind them, I say follow me, we will turn things around just as we did it in Lagos.”

Earlier, Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign in Cross River State, Senator John Owan-Enoh, had said Tinubu has high prospects in the coming election due to his track records.

Enoh, who stated this, yesterday, during a media chat at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Etim Bassey Press Centre in Calabar, also said Tinubu is the most preferred among other presidential candidates.

While speaking on the level of preparedness of his committee in anticipation of the presidential rally, slated to hold yesterday in the state, Enoh expressed optimism that the APC would not only win the presidential polls, but other position, across levels.

“Our candidate will do well and we want NUJ to be part of this propagation. The narrative out there has been a little bit faulty and a little bit misplaced. The defining thing about the next election is not about religion, not about Muslim-Muslim; it’s about whether after six years of Buhari, would it be fair to the unity of this country to still allow presidential power to reside in the north,” he stated.
