Bagudu’s wife leads Kebbi women to rally for Tinubu, Gwandu, others

Kebbi State First Lady, Dr Zainab Bagudu has appealed to women in the state to back the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She also urged them to back the governorship candidate of the party Dr Nasir Gwandu and other APC candidates to continue enjoying democratic dividends.

The governor’s wife spoke in Argungu at the weekend during the flag off of the APC Women Campaign.

Bagudu, who is the Zonal Coordinator of North-West APC women Presidential Campaign, acknowledged the developmental projects executed by President Muhammadu Buhari and her husband.

She also promised Tinubu and Gwandu would sustain the extant giant strides in the State. Gwandu, she assured, will even surpass her husband’s administration if elected.

She expressed profound appreciation to the women for their massive show of solidarity, urging them to translate such love into victory during the election.

Governor Atiku Bagudu commended his wife for her invaluable efforts and the success of all his programmes and policies especially those affecting women, children and other vulnerable persons.

The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum also said that women are critical to Nigeria’s democracy coupled with their demographic advantage.

The Governor appreciated women for voting APC at all levels in 2015 and 2019, appealing to them to replicate the feat.

He said the APC led-administration has provided empowerment to more than 20m women nationwide in addition to helping them to become self-reliant.

Gwandu described the event as epochal and lauded Dr Zainab Bagudu for her tireless efforts.

He extolled her for being passionate about all women-based issues and other related vulnerable groups, especially youths and the aged.

“I will never derail from his trajectory of development and I will never disappoint the people of the state in consolidating his colossal developmental strides,” Gwandu assured.
