The Post gathered that Abu stole the dog, said to be owned by a tenant in his mother’s house in Idimu, who he claimed refused to pay his house rent.
Abu allegedly stole the dog and sold to Akpan who was later arrested after words of the theft got to the police. He was detained by the Police and told to bring the dog back.
Abu was said to have confessed to the crime and later took the police to Akpan’s shop. But before they got there, Akpan had already killed the dog and used the meat to prepare pepper soup.
