Comrade Bosede Agbaje, coordinator of Atikulated Global Movement (AGM), Ondo State chapter, one of the groups canvassing for election of presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has called for peaceful electioneering campaigns by the political parties and fair elections in 2023.
She made the call on Wednesday in Idanre, headquarters of Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State, while addressing newsmen on the need to ensure the electorate vote a president that would be able to fix the nation’s socio-economic and political challenges.
AGM is a social political group consisting of united aspirants and candidates which spreads all over the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,
Agbaje, who doubled as the coordinator of the group in Idanre Local Government, stated that peaceful electioneering campaigns and elections would allow the people to elect good representatives that would turn the nation round.
The state former House of Assembly aspirant assured Nigerians that Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, if elected president in 2023, would usher in a new Nigeria the citizens hope for.
She emphasised that with the experience of the PDP presidential candidate as a vice president for eight year, he would be able rescue the nation’s economy and provide enabling environment that would cushion the current economic hardship.
Agbaje revealed that in the quest for ensuring success of PDP in Ondo State, the group has assembled credible, experienced and committed politicians to coordinate the activities of the group in the 18 local government areas of the state.
She disclosed that the group would soon embark on house to house visit, canvassing for votes for the PDP presidential candidate and other candidates in the state in the forthcoming general elections.
Meanwhile, the National Chairperson of the group, Mrs. Bolanle Aliyu-Sarumi has called on all candidates to work with all aspirants at all levels to work for Atiku Abubakar and all candidates of PDP to deliver Ondo State and other 35 states of the federation including FCT for PDP in 2023.
The movement is targeting 37 million votes across the federation for Atiku in the general election for him to emerge winner at the polls.
Hajia Mariam Abubakar is the national leader of the movement.
Among the politicians appointed by the group to coordinate the activities of the group before, during and after th elections are the Hon. Adeoba Johnson, Ileoluji/ Okeigbo /Odigbo federal constituency, a former reps member, Evang. (Mrs) Yemi Ese, MHA aspirant in Ileoluji Okeigbo/ Odigbo federal Constituency. She is the Assistant Coordinator.
Hon Orimoloye Sabiu, MHA Aspirant in Owo Constituency Coordinator of AGM in Owo LG., Mr. Azeez Kazeem Owo Consistucey 1, Assistance cordinator, Hon. Ijalana Olabode, Assistant Coordinator, Owo LG., Hon. Afolami Olabomi, coordinator and sponsor of AGM’s activities in the four Akoko Local Governments. He was also an aspirant for Federal House of Representatives, Akoko North East/North West Federal constituency.
