Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen, on Friday, attacked a convoy involving popular cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International.
Five persons were said to have been killed, while the vehicle conveying the cleric was riddled with gunshots.
The incident was said to have occurred in the Auchi area of Edo state on Friday.
Chidi Nwabuzor, Edo police spokesman, said three police officers were among persons killed in the attack.
