Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, endorsed the second term bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and dumped his party’s candidate, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.

Wike, who was in Lagos to attend the National Women’s Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) at the Eko Hotel and Suites, said he supported Sanwo-Olu because he has performed very well

He said if Sanwo-Olu was not doing well and he invited him, he would not come, but that the Lagos governor is doing well.

Wike said he would not regret to say he is supporting Sanwo-Olu for second term.

“If Sanwo-Olu is not doing well, even if he belongs to my party, I won’t come. For me, if you are in my party and you are not doing well, you won’t see me.

“If you are not in my party and you are doing well, you will see me. I will not regret to say I am in support of you (Sanwo-Olu),” he said.

The Rivers State Governor also donated N300 million to COWLSO to support the good work they are doing in Lagos.

“On behalf of the women in Rivers State, my wife, who has extended her greetings, I support this with a sum of N300 million so that you can continue this laudable projects,” he said.
