Alaafin of Oyo’s daughter marks birthday in late father’s outfit

Princess Taibat Adeyemi, a former commissioner in Oyo State and daughter of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamide Adeyemi, has honored her late dad by marking her birthday dressed in his outfit.

The princess revealed she wore his outfits to show how much she misses him.

“The saying goes “you never know what you have until you lose it” not in my case, I’ve always known, I’ve always known how much you loved me. I’ve always known what you meant to me. I’ve always known who you are and I am who I am today because of all you’ve
taught me.

In celebration of my birthday today I will like to honor my father, it’s only fitting that I wear HIS CLOTHES, HIS CANE. Hmmm Saying I miss you is an understatement of the Century. Each big event reminds me of what I’ve lost. Ileya , mother’s birthday, my birthday, your birthday. The Alaafin died in the late hours of Friday, April 22nd at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
