The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC)for the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has finally settled for a Muslim running mate.
Recall that some stakeholders in the country had warned the former Lagos State Governor against picking a Muslim running mate, as Muslim-Muslim ticket would sideline the Christians.
However, a report on Sunday indicated that Tinubu has settled for Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Shettima, the representative of Borno Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber, was a two-term Governor of Borno State.
Tinubu is expected to inform President Muhammadu Buhari about his choice of running mate within the week.
