The war to rid our society of the several social vices, particularly drug abuse and violent acts among youths recorded another vicvory on Saturday when Cheche Foundation held its walk, tagged, Walk Against Social Vices, for youths in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The walk, which began at the Mile 12 area early in the morning, terminated at the popular Ojota.
It was great fun for all the participants, all dressed in colourful yellow sports wears and pants.
The CEO of Cheche FOUNDATION, Engr Abiodun Owokoya, fondly called Abbey Cheche, joined the thousands of youths from Kosofe and beyond to show their supporv for government’s efforts to stamp out all forms of social vices from our society.
In address to the youths, Abbey Cheche said he launched the walk to sensitise kosofe youths to keep away from acts that may destroy their future and focus on Good and excellent behaviors that would benefit all.
“Today, we are joining the government to sensitise the youths on the need to shun all forms of social vices. These are acts that destroy the future of our youths. Drug abuse and other forms of social vices are destiny destroyer, and we believe that it is the responsibility of all of us rid our society of this evil.”
He said youths are the leaders of now and they should take the lead.
Security was provided by men of the Lagos State Police Command, while operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps joined to ensure free flow of traffic.
