Supporters of the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, turned out in large numbers and clashed with members of security operatives at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.
The supporters kept on chanting, “Holy Holy Holy, Nnamdi Kanu is another saviour”.
The IPOB leader is currently being arraigned at the Federal High Court over some amended charges levelled against him by the Federal Government.
This is as the lead counsel for the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Tuesday, unveiled Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as the leader of the defence counsel for Kanu, whose trial resumed today before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Some journalists who arrived at the court to cover the proceedings were also barred from accessing the court premises.
