The Police Service Commission has praised the conduct of the recently-concluded police constable recruitment aptitude test.
The test, which held nationwide on Friday and Saturday, is one of the requirements for the completion of the 2020 recruitment.
The Chairman of the Commission, Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector-General of Police, who visited some of the South-Western states, expressed satisfaction with the turnout of the applicants and the conduct of the exercise.
Smith, who visited Lagos and Abeokuta, Ogun State, said the exercise was generally hitch-free and commendable.
According to a statement by the PSC spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, in Abuja, the commission’s chairman noted that the PSC would continue to insist on merit, fairness and respect for the Federal Character principle in all recruitments into the Nigeria Police Force.
He commended the commission’s staff for their patriotism and commitment to the exercise.
The statement, titled, ‘Police recruitment aptitude test: PSC scores exercise high despite initial hitches,’ stated, “The commission chairman noted that the PSC would continue to insist on merit, fairness and respect for the Federal Character principle in all recruitments into the Nigeria Police Force.
“He noted that the commission would also continue to uphold the sanctity of the exercise and would not allow it to be diluted.”
