The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 22 suspected Internet fraudsters, better known as Yahoo Boys.
Recovered from the suspects, who were reportedly arrested at their hideout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State are five cars, mobile phones and laptops.
The Head of Media and Publicity of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Wednesday, said operatives of the anti-graft agency raided the hideout based on intelligence reports.
He said, “At the point of their arrest, five cars, several mobile phones, laptops and other incriminating documents were recovered from them.
“Twenty of the suspects have been indicted by our investigation. They will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
The suspects include Akintunde Olajide, Yusuf Afeez, Jimoh Okikiola, Adeyemo Adegoke, Ademola Saheed, Anif Busayo, Oriade Oluwatobi, Ajadi Damilola, Peter Blessing, Olaoluwa Oguniran, Agbei Peter, Toheeb Tola and Ajayi Umar.
Others are Ibrahim Ishola, Samson Oluwafemi, Oki Oluwadunsi, Durosamo Dickson, Akinremi Abiodun, Ahmed Ogunyele, and Olawore Olalekan.
