The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its state congresses scheduled for 2 October by two weeks.
The congresses will now hold nationwide on 16 October. An official statement is still being awaited.
According to reports, the postponement was after consultation with President Buhari by the Mai Mala Buni caretaker and convention committee.
Recall that the party had held ward and local government congresses between July 31 and September 4.
The state congresses will prepare the ground for the party’s zonal congresses and the national convention, where a new crop of national leaders will be elected.
