Armed robbers yet again attacked a bullion van in Ondo State.
The latest incident is coming seven days after robbers attacked a empty bullion in Owo, Owo local government area.
Recall that in July, a bullion van was attacked in Ondo town. In May, two persons were killed when robbers robbed a bullion van at Elemosho Village along Akure-Ondo highway in Ondo East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Two persons, including a mobile policeman, were killed in Wednesday’s attack at a village close to Ore, Odigbo local government area.
The van was said to be coming from the Benin axis of the Benin-Lagos highway and heading to Araromi Obu, Odigbo local government.
Ondo police spokesman, Fumilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the attack, said two persons were killed in the attack.
Odunlami identified those killed as a policeman and driver of the bullion van
She said security personnel have been deployed to the area adding that investigation has commenced.
