Following the sudden death of the lawmaker representing Akure South/Akure North Federal constituency, Hon. Adedayo Omolafe, sketchy details of how the popular politician died have emerged.
According to reports from sources, the late Omolafe, better known as Expensive in political circle, visited his farm along Irene road in Akure on Sunday morning and returned home complaining of hunger and severe headache.
A close aide said he was rushed to a hospital in Akure when the situation worsened, from where he was referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.
He was said to have died at the FMC, Owo on Monday morning.
Efforts to revive the lawmaker were said to be unsuccessful.
Many of his followers besieged his residence when news of his death filtered in.
They included women, youths and old people who were seen crying over the loss of their benefactor.
