Yet-to-be-identified gunmen at the weekend strangled to death a motorcyclist, Edoja Ediri, at Oviri-Ogor community, Ughelli North local government area of Delta State.
His motorcycle was also taken away after he was murdered.
The victim was said to be in his 30s
According to reports, the body and helmet of the deceased, who was said to have hailed from Igbuku-Orogun, were found in an uncompleted building in the area with hands and legs tied.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, said the incident created panic in Oviri-Ogor community.
The source explained when the community leaders were informed, they immediately called the attention of the A Division Police Station who later came and evacuated the body.
Delta Police spokesman DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident and said there were marks of violence on his face and legs.
