The Kogi State security operatives in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Saturday killed a notorious kidnap kingpin who engaged the security outfit in a gun duel.
He was once reported to have kidnapped his own farther and collected a ransom of 4 million naira.
The dead criminal was known for his numerous ventures of kidnapping and armed robbery and has always been in the eyes of law enforcement agencies in the state.
He, however met his waterloo when he was encountered by security operatives in the area.
In a related development, an operation, led by Olamaboro Local Government Chairman, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, arrested another kidnap kingpin, identified as Kizito Ocheme alias Igbo.
According to reports, Igbo runs a kidnap gang that terrorizes the people between Olamaboro Local government and Otukpa area of Ogbadibo Local government of Beñnue State.
