LAGOS LG POLL: Hon Wasiu Olowu on Thank-You visit to CDC Zone 2 Igbogbo/Bayeiku LCDA

The controversies and ill-feelings that greeted  the outcome of the recent party primary election in ward C2 Igbogbo Bayeiku LCDA may have been laid to rest, after Hon Wasiu Adedayo Olowu visited the zone 2 CDC IBLCDA with his successor Hon Akeem Solawon.

The zonal chairman, Mr Adewale Gbadamosi, who presided over the meeting, described Hon Wasiu Adedayo Olowu as a true definition of practical representation and the beautiful pride of all. He appealed to the supporters of the two parties to burry whatever ill feelings that may have arisen from the primary in the interest of the community and peace.

He said: “Today is a day to celebrate the issues that bind us, not the issues that divide us. It is a celebration and commemoration of everything that is admirable and adorable about humanity. Hon Wasiu Adedayo Olowu is a gentle man that I have been previledged to work with as chairman of this zone. He is passionate and optimistic about the development of his people, and he believes in the possibility of a safer, healthier and better community.”

The event, which turned out to be an evening of tribute and glamour, was an opportunity for the community to gather as one united and welcome Hon Wasiu Adedayo Olowu, the Councillor who represented ward C2 of Igbogbo Bayeiku LCDA. It was also an opportunity for Olowu to present his scorecard of the last four years to his people. In his address, he attributed his success in office to public participation, open policy style and the unwavering support he enjoyed from the CDC/CDAS, particularly in zone 2.

The outgoing councillor listed some of his achievements to include the facilitation of electricity transformers to various communities, rehabilitation/grading of roads, supply of school chair and benches to some selected primary schools in ward C2 and regular meetings with CDA for feedback among others. He assured the community that all ongoing works will be completed by his successor, who his described as his twins brother from another womb.
