LAGOS LG POLLS: AGBOYI KETU LCDA BOSS REELS OUT FIRST TERM ACHIEVEMENTS, ASSURES OF A BETTER SECOND TERM

The chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mayor Dele Osinowo, has assured the of constituency of a better future.

Osinowo, who made the promise during a parley with newsmen in his office at the council Secretariat, also explained the reasons behind the achievements of his administration in the last four years.

According to him, his administration recorded unprecedented success as a result of his style of open policy, public participation, inclusive governance, teamwork and financial and fiscal discipline.

“Despite the paucity of funds, we were able to perform excellently and we became a reference point to other Council areas in the state. Our people-oriented programmes were made possible because of the cooperation of members of the administration, council staff and the good people of the LCDA.”

The Agboy LCDA boss said his administration constructed quality projects. Notable among projects, according to him, are the new council secretariat office complex, new health centre, road constructions and rehabilitations, skills acquisitions and empowerment of 400 women and youths.

He added that the 400 beneficiaries of the women and youth empowerment program were adequately equiped with tools like Pop-corn machines, pepper grinding machines AND freezers among others.

While assuring the people of better and visible dividends of good governance, Osinowo promised to embark on legacy projects that would be focused on improving the living standard of the people. The projects, he said would include housing scheme, addressing youth restiveness, partneering with development partners, exploration of tourism potentials, public/private partnership and construction of Agboyi town link bridge.

He also disclosed that Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture has granted the LCDA the acquisition of 30 acres of land to boost the food productivity and indirectly create employment for the people.

He said efforts are in top gear to construct a mini stadium in the local council area by the state government in fulfilment of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu’s campaign promises. In addition to this, he said is the construction of a modern Jetty in Agboyi town to boost water transportation in the area.

He called on the people of the LCDA to join hands with him in the task of developing the council area by ensuring that they troop out to vote for him in the forthcoming local government election in the state.
