The story of Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, the 21-year-old 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, the prime suspect in the murdered of the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, in a Service apartment in Lekki area of Lagos State, is getting more and more intriguing everyday.

Recall that while parading her last week, the police had claimed that Chidinma was arrested at her father’s house in the Yaba area of the state. But, it is has now been revealed that she lost her father when she was two years old.

Also, emerging facts have continued to cast doubt on the true identity of the young lady, and to a large extent, her story of events about her life.

A family source has come out to explain that Chidinma walked out on her family due to some misunderstanding she had with her widowed mother. She was said to have changed her original name: Chidinma Blessing Echefu, to Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu.

It was also revealed that her earlier statement that she began to smoke and do drugs after she entered the University of Lagos may not be true after all.

According to sources, after the death of her father, when was two years old, the mother remarried and took her children along with her to her new home.

Unfortunately, as she grew older, her lifestyle reportedly changed negatively, with her mother always scolding her. She was also alleged to have been discovered to be smoking when she was barely 11 years, an action that provoked her mother to chastise her. The misunderstanding between mother and child started at this point.

Desperate to ensure that her daughter live a responsible life, the mother was said to have taken Chidinma to her uncle’s place in the Mushin area, where she was reportedly thrown out again because of her smoking attitude and wayward lifestyle.

It was at this point that she allegedly became rebellious and stayed away from her family. She also met Ojukwu (the man previously believed to be her father) , who took her into his Yaba abode, from where she was picked last week Wednesday.

Her mother, who presently resides in Mowe area of Ogun State, was said to have told some of her relatives that she has not set her eyes on Chidinma for 10 years.

Also, Childinma’s sister, Chioma, according to sources, corroborated this claim when she visited the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba.

Chioma stated categorically that Ojukwu was not related to her family, disclosing that they were from Imo State and not Abia State as earlier disclosed by Chidinma.

Autopsy report

Meanwhile, Usifo Ataga’s corpse has been moved from where it was kept to the Ikeja morgue.

The movement of the corpse, sources say was to enable the pathologist carry out the last stage of screening known as Toxicology test- a toxicology screening is a test that determines the approximate amount and type of legal or illegal drugs taken. The test also evaluates drug intoxication or overdose.

It was also gathered that samples are expected to be taken abroad, since the test would be conducted on the dead, where it would be screened and the result sent to Nigeria. This test is said to be the cause of the delay of the autopsy report.
