Actress Nkechi Blessing has laughed off her suspension by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, tagging those behind the suspension as jokers.
Blessing, who is known for her huge boots, ran into trouble with the association alongside a male colleague, Kehinde Adams, both of whom engaged each other in a public spat few weeks ago.
The two thespians were reportedly reprimanded for fighting dirty on social media over the recent arrest of their colleague, Olanrewaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, who was alleged to have sexually assaulted a minor.
The association then directed that no member should work with the duo until their suspension is lifted.
However, when speaking, the actress said, “I don’t feel any way. Firstly, an organised association should use proper measures to address a person they describe as their member. Since the letter was ‘delivered’ through a mere Instagram post without calling my phone or sending me an email, I consider it to be the joke of the century.”
