Plus size rocks: Ghanaian plus size dancer who can’t travel by air because of her size

Ghanaian plus size dancer, Precious Mensah has called for global reforms that will make life better, comfortable and beautiful for plus size people like her.

Without doubt, PM Reigns carries an intimidating figure that makes even vehicles that ply on land to tremble. It is therefore not much of a surprise that airline operators would refuse her on their air planes.

Popularly known as PM Reigns, the Di Asa dance competition winner revealed how society only make provision for slim people while neglecting plus size people.

In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, PM Reigns recounted an experience she had when she was denied entry into air planne when she wanted to travel to Dubai.

“I be that type who dey like travel den experience de world, but unfortunately my first travel experience no happen sake of my size” Miss Mensah said.

She adds, “I pass through so many things… People go see you in town de say you be too fat, we fit get your brazier and pants or you dey sew dem?”

She also recounted the story of how she was thrown out of a public transport bus because she refused to pay the fare for two passengers.

Miss Mensah lamented that while plus size people love to catch fun and enjoy like every other person, but restaurants, cinemas dont make provision for them.

She called on event Organisers, restaurants, cinemas to make available free armless chairs for plus size patrons.
