It was a harvest of tributes on Sunday as the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David Parish in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, held a service of songs in honour of the late Pastor Oluwadamilare Adeboye.

The church was filled as members from various parishes in the state came to pay their last respects.

Clergymen, including the resident pastor of the Living Faith Church (a.k.a Winners Chapel), Eket, Pastor Afolabi; General Overseer of Glory World Church, Eket, Pastor Samuel Effiong; Zonal pastor of RCCG Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Pastor Timothy Mulero and others paid tribute to the late pastor.

Youths of the Province 5 said in their tribute: “We are missing you dearly. God enabled you to pioneer the work of the youth province from nothing to a position that is being admired by all.

”Your love for hard work and excellence made every one of us sit up and work with you. You taught us that only failures make excuses. With that, we got immunised against failure.”

Resident Pastor of City of David, Vincent Okolosi, said the death of Pastor Adeboye left a big vacuum not just in the parish but the entire RCCG and Christendom.

“He was a strong pillar to the church and the youths in particular. He lived a life of sacrifice and generosity. He used his resources for the work of God,” Okolosi said.
