A former Minister of Finance, Olu Falae, has accused some suspected Fulani herdsmen of allegedly invading his farm and destroying harvested crops worth millions of naira in his farm.

Falae, who is also a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said the attack had been happening for the past few weeks.

He explained that he had reported the matter to the police and the state chairman of Miyetti Allah, but there has been no change.

He said policemen who were deployed to his farm drove the bandits away, but returned the following day after the police had left.

He said the herdsmen stole some crops and destroyed the ones they could not take away.

The herders, according to him, also attacked the residence of the farmworkers with dangerous weapons and chased away the staff.

One of the staff who spoke with newsmen said he escaped through the windows when the herdsmen arrived at their residence.

Chief Falae enjoined the Commander of the state security outfit, Amotekun corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye to save his farm from the incessant invasion of the herdsmen.
